How to book a first-time appointment

We see patients on a referral basis only. If your pet has never been seen by us or the appointment was more than 2 years ago, please ask your veterinarian to send us a referral. As soon as we receive the referral document one of our friendly staff will contact you to schedule an appointment. Appointments are scheduled based on their urgency. An emergency will be booked with an additional fee on the day we receive the referral during business hours. We do not book emergencies after hours or on weekends. We do our best to schedule an urgent referral within 1–2 weeks. Non-urgent referrals are booked 2–6 weeks from the arrival of the referral. For non-emergency patients we’ll contact you via phone or email within 1–2 business days.

How to book an OFA exam for your breeding dog

OFA exams are booked without a referral from your veterinarian. To schedule an appointment please email reception@bcanimaleyes.com or call (604) 549-4944 for an appointment. We now use the online form of the OFA exam sheet. Please go to the OFA website and create an account. No need for paperwork anymore. The ophthalmologist will fill out the OFA form online and you’ll receive a copy via email instantly.

Please come to the appointment 30 minutes early so that your dog’s eyes can be dilated to be ready for the examination at the time of the appointment.
